ATC rejected request to allow Imran Khan to talk to his sons via WhatsApp

Rawalpindi: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has rejected a request to allow Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan to talk to his sons once a week via WhatsApp.

Justice Malik Aijaz Asif heard PTI founder Imran Khan’s plea to talk to his sons once a week through video call. The prison administration submitted its reply to the court and said that there is no provision for meeting relatives through WhatsApp as per the prison manual.

According to a court order, former prime minister Imran Khan is allowed to speak to his sons twice a month.

Later, the jail administration’s response was submitted to the court and the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court rejected the request to allow Imran Khan to talk to his sons via WhatsApp once a week.
