A rare and astonishing incident occurred in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra, India, where a woman was pregnant with a baby, and inside that baby’s abdomen, another fetus was developing.
According to Indian media, this rare medical condition is known as “Fetus in Fetu,” which is an extraordinary and miraculous phenomenon. This condition is extremely rare, occurring in only one out of 500,000 pregnancies.
The case involves a 32-year-old woman who is already a mother of two. When she visited the hospital for her sonography, doctors were left in shock by what they discovered—her unborn baby had another fetus developing inside its abdomen.
Medically referred to as “Fetus in Fetu,” this rare anomaly involves one fetus developing within another, which can lead to significant health complications at birth. Doctors warned that the newborn could face several medical challenges after delivery.
Considering the woman’s condition, doctors decided to transfer her to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar for further treatment.
However, the delivery took place at a government hospital in Buldhana, where a team of expert doctors carefully performed surgery and safely delivered the baby. Following the operation, the newborn was immediately transferred to Amravati for further medical care.
