Smriti Mandhana (45 off 31) and Deepti Sharma (3-20) led Indian Women to a stunning seven-run win against arch-rivals Pakistan in the 2nd match of the Asia Cup.
Chasing a target of 109 runs, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side completed the equation with 35 balls to spare. Indian openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana were excellent with the bat and put up an 85-run partnership to give India a platform to go past Pakistan.
Mandhana used her experience and went on to compile a 31-ball 45, hitting nine boundaries before being removed by Syeda Aroob Shah. Verma also scored a decisive 29-ball 40 with six boundaries and one six.
Earlier, after opting to bat first, Pakistan got off to a devastating start with only four batsmen managing to reach double figures.
In India, everyone picked up wickets except for Radha Yadav.
Deepti Sharma (3-20) led the bowling department.
Renuka Singh (2-14), Shreyanka Patil (2-14), Pooja Vastrakar (2-31) took two wickets each.
