Mahandri Bridge was destroyed due to flash floods on 30 July 2014.
Mansehra, Kaghan, Naran and Babusar roads were closed to all traffic due to the destruction of the bridge. Due to the destruction of Mahandri bridge, local residents and tourists had to face serious problems.
Considering the seriousness of the situation, NHA and FWO decided to construct the bridge as an emergency.
The Pakistan Army provided equipment for the construction of the bridge, machinery and FWO manpower was busy day and night.
