The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that Meta Platforms, Facebook’s parent company, is considering incorporating Meta’s artificial intelligence model into Apple Inc.’s recently announced AI system.
In addition to Google and Meta, AI startups Anthropic and Complexity are also in talks with Apple to bring AI to Apple Intelligence, the magazine said, citing people familiar with the situation.
Apple, Meta, Complexity and Antropic did not immediately respond to requests for comment outside business hours.
According to the magazine, the talks are not over yet and may continue, but the partnership with Apple will help the AI company spread its goods more widely.
According to the article, the size of the potential amount is not known, but the talks involve AI companies offering premium memberships for their services through Apple Intelligence.
