Mumbai: Indian cricket team’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli has credited his Bollywood actress wife Anushka Sharma for their stunning victory in the ICC T20 World Cup.
Anushka Sharma posted a picture of her husband Virat Kohli on her official Instagram handle, taking to the floor after winning the World Cup. Kohli is pictured carrying the trophy.
“I love you so much and am grateful to call you my home,” the actress wrote to her husband in the post.
He also said that they will now celebrate a wonderful World Cup victory together.
On the other hand, Virat Kohli posted a picture of himself with Anushka Sharma on Instagram, with a heartfelt message for his wife.
“This win wouldn’t have been possible without you. You have made me a better person, I can’t thank you enough,” Virat Kohli told Anushka Sharma.
The next Indian cricketer said, “You deserve to win this as much as I do. Thank you for everything, I love you very much.”
India became world champions for the second time after defeating South Africa in a thrilling final on June 29, winning by 7 runs.
After the match, star batsman Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma announced their retirement from T20 cricket. Kohli played a brilliant innings of 76 runs in the final.
