Another Boat Carrying Pakistani Citizens Capsizes in Libya, 10 Bodies Recovered

A boat carrying Pakistani citizens has met with an accident in Libya.

The Foreign Office spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that a boat carrying Pakistani nationals capsized near the Libyan coast.

According to the Pakistani embassy in Libya, the boat carrying 65 passengers overturned near the port of Marsa Dila.

The Foreign Office spokesperson further stated that a team from the Pakistani embassy in Tripoli has been dispatched to Zawiya Hospital to assist local authorities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has activated its Crisis Management Unit to gather details of the affected Pakistani nationals.

Boat Sinking Incident in Libya

According to an international news agency, ten bodies have been recovered after a migrant boat sank near Marsa Dila port.

The Libyan Red Crescent reported that the bodies were recovered on Thursday near the port in Zawiya city and handed over to local authorities for legal proceedings.

Libyan media stated that the Red Crescent did not disclose the cause of the boat’s sinking or the identities of the passengers.
