Lahore: Popular Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar gave a cheeky response when he was defeated by social media star Chahat Fateh Ali Khan.
Social media user X (formerly Twitter) reported that Saraiki Ali Zafar and Attaullah Khan Esakelvi’s song “Balu Batyan” had 16 million views in a month, while Chahat Fateh Ali’s viral song “Ah Lari Badabadi” surpassed Ali Zafar’s. 19 million views during that period.
Responding to the user’s post, Ali Zafar said, “I admit to having illusions and pride that no one can compete with me.”
The singer, who is popular on social media with popular singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s lead songs, famously released the song “Ah Lari Badobadi” on YouTube last month. The song went viral not only in Pakistan but also in India and the YouTube video has over 27 million views.
Chahat Fateh Ali’s song has been trending on various social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, creating many funny memes and being widely shared.
It must be remembered that before Chat Fateh Ali Khan, popular singer Noor Jehan sang the song “Ah Lari Badobadi” for the movie Banarasi Thug in 1973.
