Speaking on local TV, the outspoken Ahmed Shehzad said that Babar Azam has been the captain for five years with a short interruption, but has never been responsible.
The hosts asked Ahmed Shehzad to be invited to the camp based on his domestic performance, but was turned down, asking Wahab Riaz if he was a member of the selection committee at the time.
Shehzad responded by saying that he came to know about her divorce from the news. He feels that if he has a problem with someone, he should discuss it. However, recent events suggest that something personal may be happening.
He said he received an offer from the league during the domestic season, but turned them down and informed the PCB. He wasn’t part of the central deal, and he didn’t play in the league.
Shehzad said he was being compared to Babar Azam on social media, which was unfair. Eight years ago, the status quo changed, modern cricket had evolved and there was a significant difference in salaries between eras.
As a captain, Babar Azam had all the power. He got the players he wanted but still didn’t win the title. Pakistan has many big stars but all the captains except Babar Azam are held accountable.
He said, Babar does not play domestic players but instead includes his friends in the team. Players who do not perform as wizards are broken and when they do not succeed there, they are included in the playing eleven as a backer.
Want to compare Shehzad Babar’s stats in ICC tournaments:
Ahmed Shehzad: 9 innings, 250 runs, average 31.25, strike rate 126.90, highest score 111, one century and one player award.
Babar Azam: 22 innings, 585 runs, average 27.85, strike rate 112.06, highest score 70.
Babar Azam’s statistics are worse than his statistics, but he is called a king, a false king! Pakistan should play to win ICC events, don’t write articles and stop fooling people on social media.
