The National Telecom and Information Technology Security Board (NTISB) has issued a cybersecurity advisory warning.

The advisory highlights ChatGPT-4, Gemini for Chrome, and over a dozen other applications or websites that are being targeted by hackers to steal private information.

The advisory specifically warns users of VPNs and artificial intelligence-powered tools about the increasing threats from hackers. These hackers are allegedly inserting codes into browser extensions, potentially gaining access to users’ personal identity information (PII).

The board identified 16 applications, including AI assistants, ChatGPT, Bard AI chat extension, VPN City, and Vid Helper video downloader, as popular tools being targeted.
