Globally renowned Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai and actor Abhishek Bachchan’s daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, has approached the court against the spread of false and misleading information about her health.
According to Indian media, Aaradhya has filed a fresh petition in the Delhi High Court, requesting the removal of false claims and videos circulating about her on various websites. This petition follows a previous court order that directed Google, along with several entertainment websites and YouTube channels, to immediately take down all exaggerated and untrue content related to Aaradhya Bachchan.
In the earlier petition, it was highlighted that some YouTube videos baselessly claimed Aaradhya was no longer alive. On April 20, 2023, the Delhi High Court had strictly instructed YouTube to delete all fake videos regarding Aaradhya’s health, including false claims of her suffering from serious illnesses.
The court emphasized that every child, whether from a famous family or not, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. However, due to continued violations of the court’s directive by some websites and social media platforms, Aaradhya has filed a new petition.
In today’s hearing, the High Court reissued a notice to Google and postponed the case proceedings until March 17, 2025.
