A couple in China has gone viral on the internet because of their unique love story. They recently got married, but their past has left people amazed. Twenty years ago, they played the roles of husband and wife during a school performance.
Zheng and his wife (name not disclosed) got married on January 7, 2025, in the city of Chaozhou, Guangdong province. Interestingly, the school where they tied the knot was the same place they attended 20 years ago, where they performed as a married couple on stage.
A video of their old performance surfaced online, showing the two children dressed in stunning bridal attire and makeup, playing the roles of bride and groom. Many other children participated in the performance, portraying the bride and groom’s companions.
After finishing school, they attended different primary schools and didn’t meet again until 2022. That year, footage of their school performance was shared by a friend of Zheng. When Zheng’s mother saw the video, she encouraged him to track down the girl so that they could reconnect in real life.
At the time, Zheng was still unmarried, and his parents wanted him to settle down soon. With the help of their school teacher, Zheng found his future wife, who was also unmarried. The two fell in love, and they are now happily married.
