Republican Primary Elections, Nikki Haley defeat Trump in Washington DC

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley defeated former US President Donald Trump in the Republican primary in Washington, DC.

Foreign media reports that Nikki Haley won her first victory over former President Trump in Washington, DC during her 2024 campaign to become the Republican presidential nominee.

Despite becoming the first female US president, Nikki lost to Donald Trump in her home state of South Carolina.

But Trump easily leads Haley in the race and is likely to face Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election in November.

In contrast to Trump’s 33.2 percent of the vote, Haley, the former US ambassador to the United Nations, received 62.9 percent.

The Washington Post reports that 2,035 Republicans participated in the primary, according to local party officials.
