KARACHI – More than a dozen players of Karachi Kings got ill ahead of their crucial match against Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing Pakistan Super League season nine (PSL 9).
Kings are scheduled to lock horns with Gladiators in today’s match at 7:00 pm at the National Stadium Karachi with clouds of uncertainty overhanging it.
Sources said the management of the Karachi Kings were in contact with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in this regard. Efforts are being made to complete the number of players for the match.
They said the players are suffering from food poisoning since they took their dinner at the hotel, adding that one of the player has been hospitalized while three of them were given treatment at the hotel.
The affected players also include international cricketers.
On Wednesday, a strong opening partnership guided Islamabad United to bag seven-wicket win over Karachi Kings in 15th game of the PSL 9.
