Dubai Police has warned pedestrians that crossing roads at locations other than designated pedestrian crossings can result in a AED 400 fine under Article 89 of the UAE Federal Traffic Law.
Director of the General Department of Police Stations, Brigadier Majid Sultan Al Suwaidi, urged residents and visitors to use designated pedestrian crossings when crossing roads. He also advised pedestrians to carefully assess traffic before crossing and follow pedestrian traffic signals installed at intersections.
