Pakistan’s Mango Pulp Exports Reach .13 Million as Libya Emerges as Top Buyer

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan exported 1.53 million kilogrammes of mango pulp worth $1.13 million to 13 international markets during the fiscal year 2025-26, with Libya emerging as the largest buyer, according to official trade figures.

Libya purchased 890,400 kilogrammes of Pakistani mango pulp valued at $587,664, making it the biggest destination for the country’s mango pulp exports during the year.

The North African market accounted for 51.95% of Pakistan’s total mango pulp export earnings and 58.16% of the overall shipment volume, highlighting its dominant position among international buyers.

Turkey and Angola Follow

Turkey was the second-largest buyer, importing mango pulp worth $129,294.87, while Angola ranked third with purchases valued at $127,354.10.

Together, Libya, Turkey and Angola generated 74.64% of Pakistan’s total mango pulp export earnings, demonstrating a high concentration of export revenue among the top three markets.

Spain was another significant destination, purchasing mango pulp worth $83,635.20, followed by the United Kingdom at $69,632.71.

The United States imported mango pulp valued at $56,467.61, while Saudi Arabia recorded purchases worth $53,891.17.

Seven Markets Dominate Export Earnings

The seven leading destinations — Libya, Turkey, Angola, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States and Saudi Arabia — collectively accounted for 97.95% of Pakistan’s mango pulp export earnings during FY2025-26.

The remaining six markets — Afghanistan, Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, Germany and New Zealand — contributed approximately 2.05% of total export earnings.

The figures indicate that while Pakistan’s mango pulp reached a diverse group of international markets, export revenue remained heavily concentrated in a relatively small number of destinations.

Export Market Diversification Remains Key

The strong contribution from Libya and other major buyers highlights the growing importance of processed mango products in Pakistan’s agricultural export portfolio.

However, the concentration of earnings among a handful of markets also points to the potential importance of expanding into new destinations to reduce reliance on a limited number of buyers.

With Pakistani mango pulp already reaching markets across Africa, Europe, North America, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region, greater market diversification could provide additional opportunities for the country’s processed fruit industry.
