EPA Punjab, LDA Invite Public to Hearing on Lahore Division Master Plan 2050

LAHORE: The Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (EPA Punjab) and the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) have invited citizens, environmental experts, civil society representatives and other stakeholders to participate in a public hearing on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the Master Plan for Lahore Division 2050.

The public hearing will take place on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the LDA Sports Complex, Gulberg, Gurumangat Road, Gulberg-III, Lahore.

The hearing aims to provide the public with an opportunity to review the EIA findings and share comments, concerns and recommendations on the environmental framework that will guide the region’s development over the next 25 years.

According to the announcement, the agenda will include a presentation of the EIA findings, followed by an open session for public comments and suggestions. Feedback from participants will be recorded as part of the official process.

Key areas for public input include air quality, water resources, green spaces, transport planning, waste management and climate resilience. These issues are central to sustainable urban development as Lahore continues to face environmental pressures associated with urban expansion, pollution and growing demands on natural resources.

The organisers have encouraged broad public participation, stressing that the views of residents, technical experts and civil society can contribute to planning a more environmentally sustainable and resilient Lahore.

Attendance is open to everyone, and no registration fee is required.

The initiative is being promoted under the message, “Your City, Your Voice,” encouraging citizens to take part in shaping Lahore’s future.
