MANSEHRA: Conservator of Forests Upper Hazara Forest Circle Mansehra Taimur Ilyas visited the Lower Kohistan Forest Division, Pattan, on October 1, 2026, to review departmental arrangements and the condition of windfall timber stored at roadside depots.
The Conservator was accompanied by the District Forest Officer Lower Kohistan, Sub-Divisional Forest Officers of Pattan and Palas, and field staff of the Forest Department.
During the visit, Taimur Ilyas inspected windfall timber placed at roadside depots along the Karakoram Highway, including locations at Janchal, the Tehsil Complex and Sair Ghaziabad.
The Conservator reviewed the condition of the timber and examined the arrangements made by the Forest Department for its management and protection.
Relevant officers and field staff briefed him about the available windfall timber and provided details regarding departmental measures for its handling and management.
The visit was aimed at monitoring forest resources and ensuring proper management of windfall timber in Lower Kohistan.
