ISLAMABAD: The District Health Office Islamabad has intensified dengue prevention activities across the city, with surveillance and vector control teams conducting field operations to identify and eliminate potential mosquito breeding sites.
According to the District Health Office, teams are carrying out surveillance in different areas, identifying and eliminating mosquito larvae, inspecting water storage sites and responding promptly to public complaints.
The teams are also monitoring compliance with dengue prevention standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reduce the risk of dengue transmission and address potential breeding sites at an early stage.
Health authorities have urged residents to keep their homes and surrounding areas clean and avoid allowing water to accumulate in containers, rooftops, drains and other places where mosquitoes can breed.
Citizens have also been asked to cooperate with field teams during surveillance and dengue prevention activities.
The District Health Office emphasised that timely preventive measures and community cooperation are important for reducing the risk of dengue and protecting public health.
