LAHORE, September 28, 2026: The Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) has accelerated construction work on its major development projects in Lahore, including CBD NSIT City, CBD Walk and The Second Walk, as part of efforts to expand the province’s information technology and commercial infrastructure.
Chief Executive Officer CBD Punjab Imran Amin reviewed progress at the project sites and directed the relevant teams to maintain construction timelines, particularly for the central park and other infrastructure at NSIT City.
During his visit to CBD NSIT City, which is being developed as a major information technology hub, Amin inspected ongoing construction activities and reviewed the progress of the Celestia IT & Office Tower.
Officials briefed him that glass facade installation had been completed up to the fifth floor of the tower, while hardscaping work at the main entrance of NSIT City had also been accelerated.
The CEO directed project teams to prioritise the timely completion of the central park and ensure that development activities remained aligned with approved schedules.
Amin also visited CBD Walk and The Second Walk, where he chaired a review meeting to assess construction progress and the next phases of development.
During the briefing, officials informed him that facade work on all 32 commercial units at CBD Walk was nearing completion. Preparations were also underway to begin asphalt laying on the entrance road.
The meeting was informed that fire safety systems designed to meet international standards were being installed at the commercial development to strengthen safety arrangements for future occupants and visitors.
Meanwhile, excavation work at The Second Walk has been completed, allowing construction teams to move into the next phase of the project.
Speaking during the review meeting, Amin said CBD Punjab was implementing its development projects in accordance with international construction standards and established timelines.
He said the completion of NSIT City and the commercial developments would help generate new opportunities for technology businesses, commercial activity and investment in Punjab.
The projects form part of CBD Punjab’s broader initiative to develop modern business infrastructure in Lahore and strengthen the city’s position as a destination for technology companies and commercial enterprises.
Senior officials attending the site visits and review meeting included Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Construction Asif Babar, Director Architecture and Planning Sameer Aftab Sial, Director Engineering Omar Hayat and Project Manager Yasir Saifullah, along with representatives of the project contractors.
