MANSEHRA, September 7, 2026: Additional Secretary Forests Syed Habib-ul-Hassan Gilani visited Kaghan to review forest management activities and assess the condition of forest areas in the region.
During the visit, the Additional Secretary inspected Kamalban Forest at various locations along with Divisional Forest Officer Kaghan, Abrar Ahmed Khan Swati.
The visiting official conducted a detailed inspection of different sites within the forest and reviewed ongoing forest management and conservation activities. DFO Abrar Ahmed Khan Swati briefed him comprehensively on the condition of the forest, field operations and related forestry matters.
The visit provided an opportunity to assess forest resources on the ground and review measures being undertaken for their protection, conservation and sustainable management.
The Forest Department has been emphasizing field-level monitoring and effective forest management to protect the province’s valuable forest resources, strengthen conservation efforts and maintain the ecological health of forest ecosystems.
The Additional Secretary stressed the importance of continued field inspections, effective implementation of forest management measures and close coordination among field formations to ensure the protection of forest resources in Kaghan.
