KAMALIA, Aug. 3: Assistant Commissioner Iram Shehzadi conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing Suthra Punjab sanitation campaign in Union Council No. 59 (Chak 713 GB) and Union Council No. 66 (Chak 714 GB) to assess the progress of cleanliness operations and waste management services.
During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner reviewed key components of the sanitation drive, including door-to-door waste collection, timely disposal of solid waste, cleaning of drains, streets, and public spaces, as well as the overall performance of field operations.
Inspecting the work of sanitation staff on the ground, Iram Shehzadi directed the concerned officials to ensure that no compromise is made on cleanliness standards. She instructed them to maintain effective daily sanitation operations in both urban and rural areas to provide residents with a clean and healthy environment.
She said the district administration remains committed to implementing Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Suthra Punjab” vision, under which improving sanitation and environmental hygiene across the province is a top priority.
The Assistant Commissioner also appealed to citizens to support the administration’s efforts by maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings and disposing of waste only at designated collection points. She emphasized that public cooperation is essential to building a cleaner, healthier, and more environmentally responsible society.
