ATTOCK: The Attock district administration has decided to expand the role of Population Welfare Department staff in other government initiatives to improve public service delivery and ensure more effective utilization of existing human resources.
The announcement was made by Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Anil Saeed while chairing a review meeting on the department’s performance at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Friday.
The meeting reviewed the Population Welfare Department’s performance, ongoing programmes, operational challenges and future strategy. Senior officials from the Health Department, Population Welfare Department and other government agencies attended the session.
Addressing the meeting, the ADCG said stronger coordination among government departments and the efficient use of available human resources would help improve the implementation of public policies and enhance service delivery.
He said providing quality public services in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif remains a key priority and emphasized the need for an integrated approach among all government departments.
Anil Saeed directed officials to involve Population Welfare Department field staff in broader government programmes and public welfare initiatives so they can play a more effective role in community outreach and service delivery.
The meeting also discussed family welfare programmes, public awareness campaigns and measures to strengthen inter-departmental collaboration.
Concluding the session, the ADCG instructed officials to utilize all available resources to achieve departmental targets, expand field operations and enhance coordinated awareness campaigns to ensure government welfare initiatives effectively reach communities across Attock district.
