ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad district administration has remained on high alert as rain continued in different parts of the federal capital on Monday, with field teams monitoring the situation to ensure public safety.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad directed all assistant commissioners to remain in the field and closely monitor the weather situation.
He instructed sanitation staff to stay deployed throughout the rainfall to ensure the timely drainage of rainwater and prevent waterlogging.
The deputy commissioner also directed assistant commissioners to continuously monitor low-lying areas and storm drains to respond quickly to any emergency.
In coordination with the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), officials have also been instructed to ensure the smooth flow of traffic on major roads during the ongoing rain spell.
