KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday forecast widespread rain accompanied by wind and thundershowers across most districts of Sindh over the next 24 hours, with moderate to isolated heavy rainfall expected in several areas.
According to the PMD, rain and thunderstorms are likely in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Sanghar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Hyderabad, Matiari, Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ghotki, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, and Thatta.
The department warned that moderate to isolated heavy falls could occur in parts of the province during the forecast period, urging residents to remain cautious in vulnerable areas.
For Karachi, the PMD predicted partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain, while rain, gusty winds and thundershowers are expected to prevail across much of Sindh as the monsoon system continues to influence the region.
