BEIJING: China has warned the Philippines not to “misjudge” the situation in the South Sea and not to do something that would cost it only by relying on external elements.
According to the World News Agency, this threat from China was given by Foreign Minister Wang Yi to his Philippine counterpart on the phone.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his Philippine counterpart that being neighbors, we should discuss any conflict that may arise and I think that handling the current maritime situation is the most important task at this time.
The Chinese foreign minister warned his Philippine counterpart that if you misjudge the maritime situation or unintentionally collude with external forces, China will respond strongly in self-defense.
Wang Yi added that the serious difficulties in the bilateral relations between China and the Philippines were caused by the Philippines changing its policy and reneging on its commitments.

The Chinese foreign minister also advised the Philippines to “return to the right track” by changing its policy as soon as possible.
The position of the Philippines has not come out in this regard.
It should be remembered that the dispute between China and Taiwan regarding the maritime boundaries is quite old. European countries, including the United States, consider the ownership of Taiwan to be correct, while Russia is with China and the Philippines is also leaning towards Taiwan because of the United States.
