ISLAMABAD, Apr 30 (ABC):The federal government has outlined Rs1.17 billion in sports development projects for educational institutions in Islamabad under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2026-27. The plan focuses on expanding physical and digital sports facilities to support student activity, infrastructure upgrades, and youth engagement.

According to sports official planning documents, the initiative includes multiple infrastructure and equipment projects across federal schools and colleges in the capital.
Telling to Wealth Pakistan The largest allocation is for the construction of three indoor swimming pools, estimated at Rs368.598 million. The government has proposed Rs450 million for this project in the 2026-27 fiscal year.
Another major component is the development of 15 futsal grounds, with a total estimated cost of Rs359.986 million. Of this, Rs225 million is proposed for the upcoming year.
The plan also includes the establishment of 50 e-sports laboratories, reflecting a shift toward digital and competitive gaming. This initiative is estimated at Rs229.650 million, with Rs200 million proposed for 2026-27.
Additional projects include the construction of 10 padel courts at a cost of Rs126.804 million, alongside the provision of 500 sports bicycles for students. The cycling initiative is estimated at Rs87.559 million, with Rs50 million proposed for the next fiscal year.
