Rawalpindi, March 25: The Pakistan Navy has received a Chinese naval vessel, PLA Navy Ship DAQING, for participation in the fourth edition of the Sea Guardian exercise, aimed at enhancing maritime cooperation between the two countries.
According to ISPR, the visiting ship was accorded a formal reception upon arrival and escorted into port by Pakistan Navy vessels.
Joint training activities planned
The exercise will run from March 25 to April 2 and include both harbour and sea-phase engagements. Planned activities include professional exchanges, seminars for junior officers, coordinated patrols and operational drills.
Naval units will also carry out gunnery exercises and other maritime security operations to improve coordination and operational readiness.
Strengthening bilateral ties
Officials say the Sea Guardian exercise reflects ongoing defence collaboration between Pakistan and China and is intended to improve interoperability between the two navies.
The exercise is part of broader efforts to strengthen maritime security cooperation and maintain stability in regional waters.
