Major General Mohammed Bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), called on Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on February 2, 2026.
According to officials, the meeting reviewed regional security challenges and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in counter-terrorism. Both sides emphasized coordinated responses to terrorism and extremism through intelligence sharing and capacity-building initiatives among member states.

The Pakistan army chief appreciated the role of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition in strengthening collective counter-terrorism efforts across the Islamic world. The visiting dignitary acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and praised the professionalism of its armed forces.
The engagement also underscored the resolve of both sides to deepen institutional collaboration aimed at promoting peace, stability, and security in the region.
An IMCTC delegation is visiting Pakistan from February 2 to 6 to conduct a training programme at the National University of Sciences and Technology, focusing on the reintegration and rehabilitation of extremist elements.
