ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited (PTC) has been recognised by the Government of Pakistan as one of the country’s leading exporters, a distinction that underscores its contribution to national economic growth.

Officials noted that the company has played a significant role in strengthening Pakistan’s export base while maintaining compliance and governance standards. Over the past five years, PTC has contributed more than PKR 1 trillion to the national exchequer, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s most established multinational enterprises.

PTC began its export operations in 2018 and has since expanded its footprint across multiple regions. According to company data, exports have exceeded USD 200 million over the past eight years, with tobacco and nicotine products supplied to markets in Europe, South America, East Asia, and the GCC. These achievements reflect the company’s manufacturing standards and ability to meet international quality benchmarks.

Beyond commercial performance, PTC has invested in sustainability initiatives, including responsible manufacturing practices, community development projects, and environmental strategies. The company says these efforts are part of its broader commitment to shaping “a better tomorrow” for Pakistan.
