FGEHA operation clears illegal occupations in Islamabad’s G-153 sector

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) carried out an anti-encroachment operation in Sub-Sector G-15/3, Islamabad, on December 19 to remove illegal occupations on government land and facilitate ongoing development work.

FGEHA officials oversee operation

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner FGEHA Almas Sabih Saqib and Director Security Colonel Azhar Saeed. Officials from the technical, enforcement, and public relations wings of FGEHA were also present during the action.

Illegal encroachments removed from government land

According to the administration, the operation targeted illegal encroachments that were obstructing development activities in the sector. Officials said the action was part of efforts to address land-related issues in the area.

Early possession planned for allottees

FGEHA officials said the operation forms part of a broader strategy aimed at ensuring early possession of plots for allottees. The authority’s Land Wing and Law Wing are continuing work on remaining issues, with further operations expected.

Development progress in Sub-Sector G-15/3

Infrastructure development in the sub-sector is currently underway. The approved project cost stands at Rs1,453.866 million. According to project details, 40.02 percent physical progress and 38.10 percent financial progress have been achieved so far.

NESPAK is serving as the project consultant, while MSK International is executing the construction work.

Roads and utilities near completion

Officials said road asphalting has been completed, electric pole foundations have been installed, and transformers and load break switches have been activated. The East Service Road has reached 85 percent completion, while the North Service Road stands at 60 percent, with remaining work ongoing.

Plot possession and project scope

Out of a total of 1,120 residential plots, possession of 404 plots has been handed over to allottees. The project also includes commercial plots, parks, green areas, a mosque, a school, sewerage and drainage systems, water supply, street lighting, and a Sui gas network.

Officials said possession of remaining plots will be handed over after resolution of outstanding land-related matters.
