KARACHI: Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC), a constituent college of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), held its 37th convocation at Bahria Auditorium, Karachi, where degrees were conferred on graduates from various academic programs.
Sindh chief minister attends PNEC convocation
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah attended the ceremony as the chief guest. The event was organized at Bahria Auditorium and attended by senior representatives of the Pakistan Navy and NUST.
According to officials, degrees were awarded to a total of 353 graduates. The graduating class included four PhD scholars, 41 MS students, and 308 graduates from bachelor’s degree programs.
Academic medals conferred on PNEC position holders
A total of 39 medals were awarded to students for academic distinction. These included President’s Gold Medals, Chief of the Naval Staff Gold Medals, Chancellor’s Silver Medals, Rector’s Gold Medals, and Quaid-e-Azam Gold Medals.
Role of NUST PNEC in engineering education noted
In his address, the chief guest referred to the contribution of NUST PNEC in supplying engineering graduates to national industries and technical sectors. He also mentioned the participation of foreign students in the academic programs.
Civil and military officials attend ceremony
The convocation was attended by civil and military dignitaries, university officials, faculty members, and parents of the graduating students.
