Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is famous for her remarkable acting and bold choices, but the box office results of the last decade tell a different story. While Kangana has delivered successful films like “Queen” and “Tanu Weds Manu,” her recent films have failed to achieve box office success.
Out of Kangana’s 31 films, 22 have been declared flops, and her latest release, “Emergency,” marks her sixth consecutive failure. In the past decade, 10 out of her 11 films flopped, with only “Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi” (2019) achieving average success.
Film analyst Taran Adarsh states that Kangana’s problem is her increased involvement in politics, which has made it difficult for audiences to accept her as an actress. Her film choices have also harmed her career, and if she starts doing lighter films, the audience might regain interest in her.
Vishik Chauhan, the owner of a cinema hall in Bihar, mentioned that both Kangana’s films “Tejas” and “Emergency” failed, and several shows had to be canceled. He further stated that Kangana is an excellent actress, but her films’ stories feel boring and repetitive.
