The city council of an American city has urged citizens to stop placing eyes on various statues around the city. In Oregon, artificial eyes have started appearing on statues and walls, quickly going viral.
The city’s administration posted on social media, stating that while the eyes placed on different statues around the city may make people laugh, removing them without damaging the statues is costly.
One Facebook user responded, saying, “Then why bother removing them? Leave them as they are, no cost involved.” Another user shared, “My daughter and I passed by a statue and couldn’t stop laughing at the eyes. We loved the round, humorous eyes. The city is so full that this kind of joke is nice.”
Another Facebook user commented, “I think the eyes on the deer are especially great, and they should stay just like that.”
