While washing machines are traditionally used for cleaning clothes, Japan has developed a unique washing machine designed to wash humans. Yes, you read that right—this futuristic invention, equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI), analyzes the human body before beginning the wash-and-dry process.
The innovative device has been created by the Japanese company Science Co., which claims it operates like a regular washing machine but can clean a person within just 15 minutes. The machine, resembling the cockpit of a fighter jet, is set to be showcased at the Osaka Kansai Expo, where 1,000 visitors will have the chance to experience it firsthand.
After the expo, the company plans to start mass production of this human washing machine. When an individual enters its plastic pod, 50% of the pod fills with warm water. High-speed water streams with tiny air bubbles are then released. As these bubbles burst, they create powerful pressure that removes dirt and grime from the skin.
But the company asserts that the Human Washing Machine does more than just clean the body. Using AI technology, it also aims to refresh the mind. While the cleaning process takes place, electrodes in the pod’s chair gather data to ensure the temperature and experience are optimal. Simultaneously, the AI system plays a custom video inside the pod, designed to relax the nerves based on previously collected data.
The company further claims that this machine enhances both physical and mental rejuvenation.
Interestingly, the design is not entirely new. A similar concept was displayed at the Japan World Expo in 1970, but it was never made available to the public. Now, decades later, this futuristic idea is finally set to become a reality.
