Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has strongly discouraged parents from giving dowries to their daughters.
In a recently posted video on her YouTube channel, the actress shared that she provided her daughters with lavish dowries, yet her sons-in-law showed no gratitude.
Bushra Ansari said parents raise and educate their daughters with the hope of securing their happiness after marriage. At the time of marriage, parents often sacrifice their own comforts to give their daughters everything they can. However, instead of being thankful and appreciative, the sons-in-law act shamelessly and fail to value these gestures.
Using harsh words for individuals who demand dowries, Bushra Ansari labeled them as “shameless” but also expressed her apologies for her strong language.
She added that she invested in her daughters’ upbringing and education, worked tirelessly to arrange their marriages, and gave them clothes, jewelry, furniture, and even apartments. Treating her daughters’ husbands as her own sons, she showered them with love and gifts, but they turned out to be ungrateful.
The video has sparked discussions on social media, with many users questioning whether Bushra Ansari’s daughters have separated from their husbands. However, the actress has not responded to these queries.
