Selena Gomez, who always comes with a tight control over her changing appearance and weight fluctuations, is fed up with all the rumors surrounding her going under the knife for cosmetic procedures, speculation concluded recently.
The 32-year-old singer addressed the speculation when she responded to a TikToker’s video about the uproar surrounding her changing appearance in the comments section.
In the now-deleted clip, content creator Marissa Barrionuevo was asked to share the work Gomez has done over the years, according to Page Six.
Barrionuevo, a medical assistant in a plastic surgery office, declined to analyze Gomez’s appearance, citing the former Disney Channel star’s health problems with lupus.
The ‘Only Murders in the Building’ actor wrote: ‘Honestly, I hate this. I’ve been on streaks for flare ups. I have botox. And it is done. Leave me alone.”
After Selena’s outburst, Barrionuevo pinned the former comment to the beginning of a new video and wrote an apologetic note.
Barrionuevo wrote: “I adore you. I really do mean the best, so I apologize if this has misled you in any way.”
“You don’t owe it to anyone to tell us why you don’t look the same as you did when you were a teenager or in your 20s,” she added.
Selena replied, “I love you. Not about you. I just feel sad sometimes.” In 2017, she underwent a kidney transplant due to a diagnosis of lupus.
In January 2023, Selena Gomez addressed fans’ concerns about her health after a skincare routine she posted on TikTok.
