Bollywood diva Sonakshi Sinha’s husband actor Zaheer Iqbal says religion was never an issue between them as he ultimately shared his stance on their interfaith marriage.
In a new interview with an Indian media outlet, actress Sonakshi Sinha and her husband Zaheer Iqbal shared their perspective on each other’s religion amid trolling and criticism on social media for their interfaith marriage.
“But really, we’re not that different. Our core values are the same,” she continued in her opinion. The most important thing in life is to be a good person – that’s the kind of values we’ve imbibed.”
Sharing thoughts similar to his better half, Iqbal added: “One thing I know for sure: I might have 50,000 disagreements with Sona, but it will never have anything to do with religion.”
“Uncle Salim [Salman Khan’s father] once shared with me that he said this to Salma Teta’s parents when they got married,” he revealed.
“During the seven years we’ve been together, the fact that we’re from different faiths has never been addressed. We both respect other religions. It was never an issue or even a discussion for us,” claimed Sinha. “The only noise is from outside.
