Innovative microwave treatment saves legs of diabetic patient in Scotland

A diabetic patient in Scotland has been saved from leg amputation thanks to new microwave technology, marking a major medical breakthrough.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Barry Meldo, a 74-year-old man with type 2 diabetes, developed severe ulcers on his feet.

The only procedure the surgeons suggested was amputation. However, a medical student studying Meld’s condition recommended microwave therapy as a substitute.

Thanks to this unique therapy, Meld is now completely cured after nine months.

A therapy created using Stirling-based Emblation activates the immune system by applying low-energy microwave radiation that successfully heals ulcers.

Swift technology is an effective non-invasive replacement for traditional treatments.

Meld’s recovery demonstrates a breakthrough in medical treatment by highlighting the potential of microwave technology to heal severe diabetic ulcers and prevent amputations.
