As the T20 World Cup 2024 continues to attract audiences around the world, cricket fever has gripped fans and celebrities alike, with Pakistani actress Kubra Khan sharing her thoughts on the sport and revealing her favorite cricketers.
Despite the shock loss to the relatively inexperienced US team that caused anger among Pakistani fans and celebrities, actress Noor Jahan managed to attract attention with her candid speech during the World Cup telecast on private television.
When asked if he likes cricket, Kubra Khan said, “It doesn’t interest me. I like cricket when Pakistan plays, but I haven’t followed the ongoing T20 World Cup,” he said.
The conversation got interesting when he was asked to name his favorite cricketer. He did not hesitate to praise the young fast bowler Naseem Shah and said, “I think Naseem Shah is a great addition to the team.”
The Sang-e-Mar Mar actress said that even though she doesn’t like cricket, she likes watching Naseem Shah play the game because of his performance. The admiration for young cricketers shows the influence individual players have on fans, even those who are not interested in the sport.
On the professional front, she is currently starring in the new TV series Noor Jahan in the lead role of Noor Banu. The drama stars Saba Hamid, Ali Rehman Khan, Noor Hasan, Zoya Nasir, Hajra Ameen, Ali Raza, Yousuf Bashir Qureshi, Mahmood Aslam and Aleena Abbas.
