Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) successfully conducted IT Day on 5th June 2024 at PEC Headquarters in Islamabad. Attended by more than 120 distinguished guests, the event showcased the latest developments in information technology and recognized PEC’s achievements in automation.
The event started with the recitation of the holy verses of the Qur’an followed by a warm welcome from the IT management. The PEC registrar gave a speech highlighting the importance of IT in modern engineering practice. The highlight of the event was an IT documentary film that gave an in-depth look at various IT projects undertaken by PEC.
This documentary highlights the Board’s commitment to incorporating modern technology into its operations. The launch of the automation drive marks an important milestone in PEC’s journey towards digital transformation. This initiative aims to streamline PEC operations and improve overall efficiency.
Plaques were distributed in honor of distinguished guests and key contributors, Chief Guest Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddique, Federal Minister of Science and Technology Engr. Dr. Nasir Mehmood Khan Accountant, PEC, Mr. Mubashar Ahmad, Chief IT Officer and Mr. Aamir Waqas Director, MIS. Certificates are awarded to special employees for their outstanding work. Engr. Federal Minister for Science and Technology, PEC Chairman Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddique, Muhammad Najib Haroon highlighted the important role of IT in driving innovation in the engineering sector. The event concluded with a networking session and Hi-Tea, giving attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss technological developments and future collaborations.
