Two prominent players from the Pakistan women’s cricket team, Bisma Maroof, and Ghulam Fatima, were injured in a road accident in Karachi.
According to media reports, the two players made a U-turn in their vehicle outside their hotel in Karachi on Friday night. The other players in the car were unharmed in the accident.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that both the players received immediate medical attention and are currently under the supervision of the PCB medical team. Fortunately, other players traveling with them were not harmed in the accident.
Although Bisma Maroof and Ghulam Fatima’s injuries were reported to be minor, precautionary tests were carried out at a local hospital. Sources revealed that the PCB medical panel is monitoring his condition to ensure a speedy recovery.
Both players are currently members of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team and are currently part of a training camp to prepare for the upcoming series against the West Indies. The accident has raised concerns, but they are confident of their well-being.
According to an update by the PCB, “Although the injuries are minor, the two players received immediate first aid and are now under the supervision of the PCB medical team. Both players are likely to participate in the training camp for the series against the West Indies.” which is scheduled to begin on April 18.”
