Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar on Friday appreciated Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s speech in favor of judicial reforms.
“The law will be passed after the Senate elections on this issue. There is a need for such reforms that will help the masses to get relief,” said Tarar while talking to media persons.
“Fortunately, the democratic process is ongoing. The Democratic Government has completed its term,” he said, adding that democracy is not threatened.
Recalling the recent elections, Tarar said, “The elections were conducted peacefully. Any grievances related to the elections can be raised in the appropriate forum.”
“Because of the political party, the former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Tassaduq Hussain Jilani, decided to become the head of the judicial commission.”
